We had the pleasure of sitting down for a fireside chat with anal sex queen Gia Derza to pick her brain for some anal sex tips that apply to everyone... whether you're vanilla, or experienced AF!
You may cringe because you may ASSociate anal sex with pain or embarrassment, but we think you found yourself here for a reason! ;-) Keep reading for Gia's buttsex gems!
1. PRACTICE YOUR CRAFT
Gia suggests prepping daily - specifically, every morning in the shower. The more you maintain your practice, the easier it is to enjoy backdoor penetration. Plus, running water will keep everything so slick and so clean, clean. If and when you do start experimenting with first-time anal play, and the 'mess' (myth) factor freaks you out, start in the shower for stress-free sex. [[[Using lube in the shower? Silicone works best, because you don't have to continuously re-apply it.]]] 2. STRETCH IT OUT Yep, it's a muscle- meaning it stretches over time. Gia uses anal dilators to increase the size she's able to take - which is a process that is effective with consistency. Start small and work your way up, twice a week minimum. Also: smooth, non-textured dilators will work best for beginners. She also suggests using fingers to play just before getting down - any extra stimulation (to the back or front) will give the butt a boost in terms of enjoyable receiving. (Also: be cautious of nail length. Trim 'em down to prevent injury.) 3. BREATHE IT OUT GIA SAY RELAX! Bip tip: Don't hold your breath when it comes to anal sex! Literally. Using breathing techniques during anal facilitate a more comfortable experience, allowing the muscles to open easier, because the body consciously releases tension with slow, rhythmic inhales and exhales. Breathing goes hand-in-hand with communication - which means, let your partner guide you. 4. THE ANSWER IS ALWAYS, ALWAYS MORE LUBE In addition to prepping and priming the d*ck or dildo with lube, invest in a lube shooter, which Gia swears by. This disperses lube inside of the ass, basically creating a self-lubricating situation that adds a little more protection, and prevents tearing. If you've tried anal sex and it didn't work - you may not have been using enough lube - or the right lube. Water-based will be extra slippery, while silicone will be thicker for marathon play. Take it from a pro -- (and to quote Gia) -- "just do it!" Gia Derza can be found on Instagram, Twitter, and PornHub, where she holds the Pornstar Rank of No. 255!
